Client: Crothers Construction/DOJ Location: Greenough, WA Duration: 5 months Market: Infrastructure - Prison Capabilities: Security Management System (SMS) Upgrade
Scope of Work:
The Greenough Regional Prison had several serious incidents over a short period of time where the general safety of the inmates was compromised.
As a result a new stand-alone Women’s Precinct was built inside the main prison for the specific purpose of segregating the inmates.
SEME Solutions were engaged by the head contractor to design, install and integrate the new precinct’s Video Management System, Intruder Detection, Duress and Intercom systems, and integrate them into the existing main prison’s SMS so that both systems could be operated on the one platform.
SEME Solutions also expanded and integrated the existing main prison’s electric perimeter fence to include the new women’s precinct.
