Client: ADCO/DOJ Location: Wandoo, WA Duration: 19 months Market: Infrastructure – Prison Capabilities: Relocating Gatehouse Security Management System (SMS)
Scope of Work:
SEME Solution’s client was building a new prison gatehouse at their facility and took the opportunity to upgrade the current gatehouses’ SMS. Because the client still needed to maintain the security of the prison, SEME Solutions recommended installing the upgraded system into the existing gatehouse and then relocating it to the new gatehouse once built.
The first task after the design phase was to expand the existing security network to accommodate the additional equipment that was going to be installed. This involved the installation of server racks and additional uninterrupted power supplies (UPS). SEME Solutions then upgraded the existing Access Control System and the Video Management System as
well as installing and integrating a new Mobile Duress and Intercom/public address (PA) Systems.
Once the new gatehouse building works were completed SEME Solutions relocated and integrated the upgraded SMS to the new site and decommissioned the old site (all existing infrastructure and gatehouse). End- to-end witness testing was conducted on site followed by end user training.
SEME Solutions were able to complete all the works in a live prison maintaining the working function of the prison.
